Unraveling the Mysteries of the Past

Megaliths, derived from the Greek words 'megas' (large) and 'lithos' (stone), refer to massive stone structures erected as part of Neolithic (New Stone Age) and Early Bronze Age monuments. Found in various parts of the world, these structures have intrigued historians and archaeologists alike for ages.

"Megaliths are a testament to the architectural prowess and cultural richness of ancient civilizations."

Hire Benakal is one such megalithic site that has remained under the radar for a long time. This village, with its wealth of megaliths, is less than 50km away from the architectural wonder of Hampi, another UNESCO World Heritage Site.
